Holy Cow! I don't have time for all that! I think it's safe for me to declare on behalf of Austin, TX, that we yield the position of most active car culture to SoCal. (I think there was a thread on that today)

We will retain our claim to Center of the Universe and home of the Best Mexican Food (that means TexMex for you foreigners), BBQ and Chicken Fried Steak.

You win on the food. Texas has way better than California, hands down.

I did have some of the best Japanese food I've ever found today. I also discovered King's Hawaian. I've eaten their bread all my life. Never thought I'd see the bakery first hand.

I also caught the cruise at Ruby's tonight. Took as many photos there as I did at Round Up! Not too many HAMB friendly cars, but a nice turn out and some really interesting stuff. The food was pretty good there, too.

Cool pics man thanks for posting those!

  9. Glad you made it to Ruby's, not a normal turn-out due to the weather reporters saying it was going to rain. I brought my GTO (at the edge of some of your pics) instead of my HAMB friendly Model A. Good pictures, hope you enjoyed your week-end in So Cal.

Good meeting you at breakfast. Too bad it was one of the worse turnouts in a long time.
