That's what has me scratching my head. So, it doesn't look exactly like a steel 34, how many glass cars do? Lots of steel cars were customised through the years don't look like a Henry 34 anymore, either. I'm not saying it looks any better or worse than a stock body, but you cut off what you don't like and make it look like you want. Geez, I thought we had a bunch of craftsman around here, all I'm hearing are a bunch of whiners complaining it's not a perfect copy of a Henry 34.

Lack of paper wouldn't be a problem here, a bos would do or a state inspection to get a serial number applied.

Should I eat laundry detergent, or mix it with milk?

  4. Money right there...... You know what to do, and have the skills..... Possibly throw some never to be used parts at it from your stash, advertise, and let it go..........
    Profit from sale=things you need/want.
You got a good score despite nay- sayers...... Flip it, and reap the rewards......

  6. Before you ask if you should paint your wheels red- go straight detergent first. Then, follow with a few shots of bleach. Should clean the whites if needed.

  7. I'd put it on a beater chassis and make it a daily driver.

I remember back in the 80's? They had "Fairground Cruisers".......fiberglass bodied cars with garden tractor engines and transmissions ( 5-12 h.p.) and they used them to cruise around at the huge Good Guys shows. 33 Willys and stuff like that with a rope pull starter handle sticking out the trunk. Just rambling. Could you find a clear title and stamp the new numbers on the frame? Gary

Honestly, if I had that, I would clean all the mold and shit off of it to make it look as nice as it could in a picture, including getting the doors on the body, even if that just meant zip ties through the windshield pillar and a couple of screws or something, just so it looks complete in a picture, then in spring I would put it on Craigslist for sale or trade and see what kind of offers you get.

Sure a dog house or lawn art could be kinda fun but there's someone out there who would love to build something out of it, drag car maybe or ultra low budget streetrod, and who would pay I'm sure at least 3 or 4 grand for it, or maybe trade you something actually cool for it. Sure they're shitty quality and it would be extremely difficult to build anything resembling a traditional rod out of it but that doesn't make it worthless.

What numbers prevent it from being registered. It is a special construction vehicle and could be registered with assigned numbers. It could make a stock car clone or an entry level street rod, dune buggy, daily driver, or a phantom art deco 'what if' custom.

  16. These street beasts are supposed to be complete junk
One off body, fenders cast into the body , one off doors and hinges, basicly stick using street meat parts.
With that being said the fibre glass is supposed to be super thick and strong.

Anyways, if you don’t want to build it the rear axle is worth more then the whole pile of what’s left.

Keep it for yard art , donate it to a school or a kid etc. Or clean it up tape the doors in place and either sell or trade it for something better, parts, tools whatever.

I love the idea of tossing it on a s10 or something chassis and using it as a winter beater, I would love to do something like that.

  17. It ain't bad for free,
people paid a lot of money for those and like you saw many got bit in the ass pretty hard.

I'd also drop it an S-10 chassis and drive it.
Title it with the S-10 paper. And sell it.
You could hinge it and make it work easy enough.
Getting it perfect is impossible, getting it close enough to be passable at hot rod event is difficult at best. Daily driver parts chaser beater is easy enough.
It ain't ever going to be a riddler car so why try to make it one. It will never be a bonified hot rod either so why try. You see the love they get on a traditional hot rod site. It's still way cooler than anything I've seen at that price.

A friend of mine built one of them when they first came out. Before everyone decided they were junk. He bought the cheapest kit. Put a well used 350/350 combo in it. Drove the wheels off it for over 10 years. The body was always in the white jell coat. The body or chassis never gave him a problem. Yes, he knew it was not accurate in any way. But it got him across the country at least twice that I know of.

  19. I would build it up cheap, then sell it out of state with a bill of sale and tell them that it can't be titled in your state. Make some dough for a real one.

I would pull the rear end out and dump the rest for a grand. At that price I bet it wouldn't last long.....

If you got it for FREE you can't loose money on it ( I could). If it sucks so much, throw it on the internet for 25oo. bucks and walk away. What's the big deal?

I don't see why everyone says put it on S-10 chassis. It already has a chassis that fits the car with IRS, front shocks ,motor mounts, steering etc.Pull the rear and either put a cheap 8" out of Pinto/Mustang II or sell as is with a body clean-up w/o chassis. Chassis maybe not up to show specs, but lots of them go down the road just fine, and not everyone looks under them anyway

Give it to a local Gun Range. It would make a great AR15 target.

It would be titled as an S10

Titles are easier to get in some states , an s-10 that looked like a 34 ford may send up serious red flags, I had a friend that put a 32coupe body on his 32 pickup frame didn't change registration and caused some issues for him

I've wanted to find one of these cars cheap for awhile just to see if I could slice and dice and change enough to almost make it look ford , I don't need the rear or any mso or existing numbers

It kinda resembles a 34 Ford.....just find an original 34 Ford 3W body and frame and build it. It was free, you will just have spend a little bit of money on it if you are so much of a purist.

If you really don't want it, raffle it off. 100 tickets at 100 bucks each. Should be pretty easy.

No S-10 hybrids! ( unless it gets a Pinto drive train)
