man id love to get a 57 sedan to park beside my 57 ford sedan but i think that one is even too far gone for me
That looks like way too much work.. I started with a lot more than that, an I wouldn't do it again. Good on ya, if you have the 'want' to wanna fix that! May 95, when mine was dumped off at my place..
If 57's are thin in England, and your car is a stripped bare super rusted shell, what is it gonna cost you to find all the parts to make it a car again? Hinges, strikers, latches, trim, every last little item. Man it would cost a fortune in trinkets, not to mention the body repairs. The stock cars are cool no doubt, but you'd have to build a new body just to build one of those! Oh well.
wow thats literally the worst rust ive seen, and ive seen alot shit that has sat in woods for 50 years.
Do you have wings and a bonnet for it? Door skins would be easy to make for a car that rough. Put it on a late chassis and be rough with how you patch it. It could make a circle track car.
I have the wings doors bonnet and boot lid, and the chassis has already been fully rebuilt so as you say rough patched with hidden lights instant street dirt/stock car, something like these,
My O My, if you can save it that would be great, do what you can. It is easier for us in the U.S.A. to say pass on it, but we have way more to pick from. Ratticis may be on the right track. Best wishes mate. ~sololobo~
As other have said take the door jambs and go buy a nice 4 door and convert it. This car is event too rusty for a dirt track car.
I'm on board with those who are suggesting saving the door jambs and inner rear quarter structure (where the quarter window regulators bolt to) for converting a 4 door.
As was stated keep the two door posts and other good pieces save the title and chassis. Move forward to a 4 door or just save all the hassle and buy one closer to being done. work some extra hours for the shipping and buy a better start. i am east coast USA and opted for paying shipping for a Calif. body to save the hassle of replacement sheet metal for the most part. Good luck.
