Have a Buddy with a OT G35 that is all bedliner, exterior and everything, tough as nails, satin finish but is all bumpy all over, adds to his cars look and might be just the ticket to cover rust pitting, BTW speaking of tickets radar cant see him with all the texture, flys by cops shooting radar all the time and never a pull out.

I did my engine in gloss black. The semi flat black is used on the sheet metal parts like the core support and inner fender panels. I did use the base BC-CC body color for the firewall because that is the way Ford did it but GM used the satin black on the firewall and it looks good. Once you get rid of the multi-colors and get a clean one color look it will be just fine. IMHO.

Yup, but kinda hard to keep clean cuz of the texture.

I would use rustoleum BBQ paint and apply it with either a spray gun or a piece of foam. It has a nice satin finish, touches up easy and is oil based so it cleans up with mineral spirits

Well I guess I need to make my descision soon. My motor is gloss black with cast acc color acc. Not sure what color I am going to pain the truck or the core support, inner fenders, hood hinges or firewall. I was trying to come up with a good combo that would hold up and look good.

  13. Dude, 5 days ago you started with " need to paint it today" ,
Can't pick a color for your trans, blah blah blah.
Hope many paint threads do you have up?
Hope you print them off and make a book !

All that **** should be body color or black.

  16. Here's some rocks

It's not your threads,,,,, lots of good info gets posted.

Maybe its your " need it today" but still not done weeks later only because you can't make up your mind on picking a color.

Get a box of crayolas, a beer and pick

    Likewise not your threads.

I have finished the trans and motor. Just waiting on the firewall. Thanks for the concern but I will get it done.
