I used to keep a metal band-aid can full of loose change, my keychain, a plastic film canister full of white lithium grease, and some hard candy in the tall center drawer of my Kennedy top box.

I have room for number, letter, fraction, center drills and countersinks.

 

My center top drawer isn't a extra depth drawer, but it still gets used as a catch all on both of my roll around top boxes. It's the place I always go to when I'm looking for something I don't use much.

 

Lately, I have been using that drawer for 4 1/2" flap discs and a catch-all for small rotary wire brushes. You can stack and organize lots of flap discs, cutting, grinding wheels, etc. The drawer is the perfect width.
