Re: soda blasting. What cfm compressor are you guys using? I have a "cheater five" compressor which puts out about 90 psi with maybe 8 cfm if I recall correctly. Basically a HF 5 hp compressor by Speed Pro. Is it powerful enough to soda blast.

  3. Joe, it didn't take long at all. I will clean it up better. I just wanted to see if it worked. I will do the rest of the door jams ,then prime then and reshoot them the original color. Then on to the rest of the wagon. Thanks for your help.Bruce.

  5. Just DA that thing. OR use Aircraft stripper. Or BOTH

  6. Tman, that's the plan , too clean it up with a D.A. Aircraft stripper is too messy as seen in this V.W. bug I did a while back. What a nightmare that was. lol.Bruce. HPIM1938.JPG

  8. I finally got all that black matted paint off the olds wagon and squirted the original color back on the door jams. When it warms up a little more thats the original color I am going to paint the whole car with a white top again. Bruce. 001.JPG

You can use it, but it's going to be slow going. The smaller blasters only take a narrow strip at a time, and with that compressor you'll be stopping every few minutes to let the compressor catch up. With it running hard, it will also have a tendency to pump more water, especially in a humid climate. You should have a drier of sorts to keep moisture out of the lines. The short answer is yes, but you may not be happy with the results.
