Need help with ford transmissions, putting a 351w in my slammed 60 F100. Gotta c6 from the 70's needs to gone thru. want a smooth running rig not a jerky shifting hi-po trans. would this trans work or a c4 be better for my application? stock gears, mild build in motor. thanx for any suggestions. The C6 takes about triple the power to turn as a C4. A good C4 will hold the power of most SBF motors. That being said, if you are going to drive it a lot, go with an AOD. The OD will pay off in fuel savings and less engine wear.
