Before I got my '31, I had every intention of running a deuce grille. When I finally got it, I found I liked the stock shell better and it's not as played out as a deuce.

Yes, depends on the build, kinda like Candy Barr here. :)

I like 28s and 29s with that loveable heart shaped grille. 30s need a 31 grill as they look nicer:)

To each his own no doubt, and my late brother use to say about his 31 Coupe, it came before 32s! Is it overdone, should be the next question.

    Looks nice on the RP

Generally liking A grilles on highboy A framed cars. 32 frame, 32 grille. Of course there are always exceptions.

A good reason why deuces dont have model a grilles.

That low black deuce would look so much better with a deuce grille-now it just looks awkward.

  10. 32 for sure unless your restoring it, they are a thing of beauty.

I switched my 30 shell for the 32, I run a stock hood, I cut a half inch off it at the bottom next to the fenders, bolted right up, I even run a headlight bar and hood.

I prefer the ''A'' on a full fender Model A and the Deuce on a Hi-Boy............but there is always an exception.;)

28-29's look great with a stock shell. I just put a 32 on my 30 and I like it but the stock grill looked good too.

The 28/29 shell on a '32 3 window does look a little strange but the front wheel drive is really weird! HRP

A 32 is a clean looking grill...but I used a model a on mine just for the sake of not having a 32 ya know? Its rare to see a 20s or 30s hot rod with out a 32 grill.

It's an all wheel drive autocross-specific build from Europe.

And off-topic. Just wanted to show that someone tried putting an A grille on their deuce. :)

The '32 grill has been done to death. If you want to look just like EVERYBODY else that runs a deuce grill, go for it. When did doing what everyone else does become the cool thing to do? I have a '29 and I'm proud of it's looks. It's going to look like a 29 not a 32!

On a full fendered "A" there is no question to me... Stock for the car all the way except a '31 shell would be changed to a '30 shell. On a highboy, that's a different deal altogether - if it's on "A" rails I like an "A" shell apropriate for the year, if it's on deuce rails then a '32 would mostly be the choice. Under no cir***stances in my mind does a '28 '29 grill shell belong on ANYTHING but a '28 or '29... That's one of my late model pet peaves!

    Yuck....:(

  23. That's Exactly what I think... Some build styles would look just horrible with a 32 grill, and some style builds look horrible stock without the 32 . It completely depends on the rest of the car. It should NEVER be ONLY 1 or the other. but If everybody thinks EVERY Model A should have a 32 grill... I would think 32 grills are for retarded ****s only!
