I Think fitzee is correct the engine pic he supplied is the same as my more detailed pics that are to big to post.
Is this the type of head that is used for ford A banger OHV conversions?
If it is I may try and get it off.

Chevy made their frames drilled for both right and left drive up into 32 or 33. With front brakes, it's a '28. Up to '27 didn't have.

  4. yes , my understanding a `28 chevy head can be adapted to ford A motor. a guy around here used one on a model A motor and it runs/performs great. he says it wasn't hard to do , but he is a retired machinist with a lathe and mill in his shop . although i have no idea of the value , i'm sure someone would want it

  5. It is a '28 because there is about 5-6" between the radiator mount and crank pulley.

'27 on the other hand had about 2" of clearance

If the exhaust manifold is sound, Speedster guys will be all over it, especially in the US.

  6. If someone doesn't have the skills Neal Jern makes an adaptor for the Chev head to bolt to Ford block.

Its a 28 Chevy. The 28 heads were used on the T motor for a OHV conversion.

    ..
True. No doubt that it's a '28. They built the '28 in anticipation of installing the new '6 cylinder motor, which didn't meet production on time. The same chassis was in the '29, with the 6 cyl motor.
