was 14 in 1962 had a 55 ford fairlane 2 door with a 312 v8, traded an old gocart for a 3 duce offy setup with 3 stromberg 97s, dont think we ever got it running right but sure was cool for a kid down at the drive in burger joint.

headman headers and a set of flowmasters on my 72 chevy c10 when i was 15 but that only lasted a month. I came home fron school and told my dad i got beat by a hona civic. the next day i had a 383 stroker sitting in our garage. Those damn ricers never touched me again.

    Same here.

Mine was a '61 sunroof Bug that I inherited from my dad back in '75, it had a freshly rebuilt '64 1500 Bus engine in it (rebuilt by yours truly at age 15).

My header came with a bitchin' chrome glasspack muffler, I scored it for $30 at a local speed emporium.

  17. I made an adaptor for a 2bbl carb on my 58 Ford 6cyl. in 1964. Ran like shit.

  27. i got a two stroke villiers lawn mower motor given to me @ age 13. i had local garage weld enginemount into my pushbike frame with big plans to speed around my small town. pulled that engine apart and put it back together heaps with no help. anyway, i couldnt figure out the gearing right so it never did go fast. not exactly hotrod equipment, but my attempt @ speed.

I did that at 12 ,I pulled a villiers from a lawnmower and bunged it in my cousins chain drive three wheeler ,it ran fast...about 30 mph,way to fast for a 3 wheeler! i have a picture somewhere. The three wheeler would have fetched 5 figures today...my uncle bought it for her in 1948 and it had a little trunk on the back like a car. :)
I then put the engine in my brothers trolley and went even faster,a neighbours kid got chased by the local cop at 35mph in a 30 zone....:D:D

  30. Three carb manifold for my 39 Ply. back in 56.
