Sunday March 9th approx 8pm, after 7 long years of build, and with 3 of my best buds there with me, Big Olds took first place in his class at the Detroit Autorama. I can't ever remember being prouder of an accomplishment.

Scott, Megan, Me and Mike at the awards ceramony

Me and Mike with the award afterward. For those that don't know, Mike AKA Earl Schieb is the guy that did the majority of the body and paint work.

Second best moment might have to be doing the Cacklefest while in the Scorpion during the Lonestar RoundUp

  5. The day in July of this year when my wife and I celibrated our 30th wedding anniversary by getting remarried at the same hotel where the Road Rockets Rumble was held. Had about 50 of our closest friends there and had our own mini-Rumble.

The other would be the trip to the HAMB Drags.

-I think buying my roadster and driving that first night with my wife right next to me in it.
-My brother coming down just before Christmas so we could hang out.
-Getting my two new dogs which I am extremely grateful for.
-Picking up my '31 Coupe in Indiana and bringing it back home
-Meeting my new life long friends (Delton, Jeremy, Ron, and the rest of the Iron Lords)
-Getting to me Dennis Lesky while receiving my new frame

And above all getting to wake up with my wife every morning and being able to spend time with her and our dogs. For that I am extremely grateful.

Hitting the ground in San Fran in August and spending 2 weeks with 3 good mates doing 6000 miles thru the States. Took in Bonneville, HAMB drags and saw/met heaps of neat people. Keeping my oldest daughter alive (she has a mental illness and is hell bent on ending her life, although finally she seems to be getting the help she needs and is hopefully turning the corner) and being blessed with good friends and good car buddies and a long suffering wife who secretly loves cars just won't admit it! All the best to everyone out there for a prosperous and safe New Year

Spinning out of control in my daily driver ('95 F150) due to some jackass on a rainy day in the middle of I-35... spun out... did a 360... put it in the ditch kicked up a bunch of mud and saved it... did a bitchin' powerslide recovery out of it while flipping the moron off.

It's sad that this is the greatest moment of 2008 for me, but it was a pretty bad ass move. I really wish someone had been filming me... I couldn't do it again if I tried.

Watching Mild Mitch & John Swander square off in a drag race on main street Austin,Nevada ( which also happens to be Highway 50!!) at the Alviso Roadster BBQ on the way to Bonneville. '29 highboy with BBC vs. '32 5-window highboy with a SBC. The 2 town bars drug their tables out on the sidewalk and everyone partied outside watching the action. The County Judge was one of the bystanders, and qoute: I heard it,but I didn't see it (as he continued to drink his beer!):D:cool: For the record Swander's won ! Truly still part of the "Old West"!!!
