What was your best moment in 2010

My best moment was finally getting a 1932 5 widow original Ford coupe. It has been my dream car and I never thought I would be able to get one.

celebrated first year being sober and got divorced 2 kick ass things

 

Fired up my flathead for the first time in March, and then our little boy was born in April!

Keeping this hot rod related, our best was having our car inside the ballroom at the VSRA Thunder Road run as one of the top 25 picks of the show. It was just cool seeing it in an indoor setting.

 

A year sober! Congrats, Amigo! That is something to be thankful for.

 

Made it to Mt Rushmore and Loveland Co by myself in my Belair, 2300 miles rt with no problems and amazing weather.

 

Top of the list was getting my 3rd class medical certificate, after 3 years of being stuck on the ground, followed by 8 full months of driving the coupe this year. Pretty damn good year for me.

 

Finding the very car I'd been searching for, for over 15 years and actually owning it after all this time, along with a very understanding wife!

 

My first was Finding a 40+ hour a week job with a company truck after being unemployed for 7 months.

My 2nd was watching all those piles of parts come together to form a 51 Chevy sports coupe.

Im waiting on the 3rd. (driving the 51) I think that one might make the 2011 list tho..lol

 

my biggest thrill in 2010 was getting a 3rd place at GNRS in radical custom
rest of the year was OK too, did 34 shows total and placed in several
different car this year and afriad of a let down

 

Personal - Birth of my son in May (Easily the best moment of my life !!)

Car - 'Running in' the rebuilt engine of my 1966 Ford in January.

Career - Avioding redundancy in with my current employer in Sept.

 

Being at Salina KKOA with my buddies GrouchySS, Povertyflats,Chevy55 and meeting BobWop,enginepro5x, ModelAJohn,travisfromkansas and others that I can not remember their names. Had an absolute BLAST! It was so nice to meet so many HAMBers in one place. As usual, Povertyflats was a very gracious host all weekend. Not to mention riding one of his suicide machines.

 

2010 was a bad year for me but car wise winning best custom at the rumbers show in brooklyn was the best car thing in 2010 and in 2009 being on the t-shir t for lead east

 

Breaking the XO / GCC Land Speed World Record at Bonneville World Finals, October... after blowing the motor at Speedweek in August.

...then getting the call from the Unser Race Museum requesting Bombshell Betty's company for a year.

well. after being bite by a spider and having 5 hours of surgery and still having my left hand and thumb. that was a good thing. car related. still getting to drive some of my bosses cars. anything from a ZR1 vette to a 32 hiboy.

lSR with my buddies. Started working on my coupe found 6 2 intake for the desoto and last but not least getting my binder in Kustom Classic Trucks in the Lone Star Round Up feature !and all my HAMB buddies giving me hell!!

 

The birth of my first Grandchild Nicholas, and the fact that my son got to come home from Afghanistan for 15 days to be there when his first son was born.

 

Car related, doing 9.801 @ 133 with a 1.4 60' in the Maverick...................can't wait for 2011 season to start.

Personal, weathering 2010 without any major issues.
