This is going to make you sick...it sure does make me cringe.

In 1968 my father picked up for $300 a 1951 Mercury 2 door 50's hot rod. Cadillac 390, LaSalle trans, Olds rear, nosed & decked, dual exhaust with an electric trunk that allowed 4 to get in to the drive in for free.

Well I beat the shit out of it and a buddy of mine had a 67 Chevelle with a 283 which he used to drag & ran my car with a buddy of mine driving (unbeknownst to me) and my Merc annihilated the Chevelle.

Now the story gets real sick...one night I got into a situation and had a rock tossed through the rear window and had to drive with plastic over the hole for a few weeks until I had a stroke of luck. A guy I went to school with had the SAME car with a much cleaner body than mine which he overheated and cracked his flattie. I got the car for $50.00, pulled the rear glass and took some other small stuff and SCRAPPED that stocker.

3 months or so later I bailed on my Merc for $150.00 after I nearly killed the Cadillac 390 and added everything under the sun (I seem to recall adding some 90W rear end lube) to get the oil pressure to register.

My picture should be in the dictionary next to the word Idiot.

I bought this '56 Chevy 150 sedan for $50 when I was 15, back in 1978. There was no real rust on it and all it needed was a windshield and a rocker arm for the 235. It ran great, it only had 66K miles on it when they parked it. I hauled it out to my my girlfriends parents farm and drove it all over the backroads, since I couldn't get a license till I was 16. One afternoon I managed to get it into a high-speed slide on the gravel road and rolled it into a ditch. I didn't have a scratch on me, but the car was totaled. :(

1967 Mustang Fastback White w black interior. Originally a 390 GTA. Had a 68 302 in it when I got it. Dad was working with a guy on a construction job. Paid 800 Cash and drove it home. This was back in 1988. Took the car apart back in 90 to fix some rust and its still apart:( Its on the list and I am collecting parts. I have an 06 mustang 3v engine for it. not sure if its going to fit under a stock hood?????? Played finger ban& for the first time in that car. My fist love for sure.

I bought a 1955 Mercury Montclair. It was about eight years old. A 292, a 4 barrel holly and automatic trans. (Got rid of the auto). It cost me $325. Couldn't afford a Chevy, they were damn near $500.
