    What's with the induction system on this dragster? It looks like some kind of forced air induction system from the tanks Infront of the engine.

    Possibly compressed air in tanks instead of supercharger? Hard to tell exactly in picture.

    Been tried off and on since 1907.

    I remember back when Mickey Thompson was trying anything and everything, he got the idea, instead of nitromethane, he'd feed an engine pressurized oxygen. It exploded with such force, it blew parts through the concrete block walls of the dyno room.

    The engines in this video are driven purely by the compressed air. It is a very cool concept.

    The car in the first post has an internal combustion engine that is force fed the compressed air from the tanks.
    CAS.... or "compressed air supercharging".

    Interesting too that some current race cars are running their superchargers off of compressed air for immediate boost.

    That Tina chick from street outlaws fame is currently running a compressed air drag car, not sure how it's doing but it was fast
