Hi, im currently installing on my project a 350 sbc, new cam, new lifter, rod and main bearing, i was doing the break-in process and the radiator went bad and had to shut off the engine, it only ran for 5 minutes in 1800 - 2000 rpm, now i have a new radiator and is already installed on it, what would be the best recommendation to continue with the break-in after 2 month the engine is sitting? just start it and bring it up to 2000 rpm again?

comp cams has a tool to cut a small groove in the lifter bore to supply oil under pressure directly onto the cam lobe surface just before it starts lifting the lifter part number 5002

I wonder if it is as important to have engine with new cam & lifters start running immediately. Prior to this start, have engine timed absolutely correct & carb bowel full of fuel, also prime oil system. Do this & keep engine above idle speed & I believe you will minimize your problems. speedshifter Greg White
