What would it really cost to build a flathead?

    I'm runing a french flathead. The 239's are $2300 plus shipping. The 255's are $2750 plus shipping. They are rebuilt and have been dyno'ed gy the French govnment when they were rebuilt. might be 60 over or stock??? I've been more than happy with the 239 I put in my 31.

    A "Good Running" flathead could have a cracked block, rods, and crank...

    You prices will depend heavily on your luck.

    I am building an Ardun with a SCOT Blower EFI
    Everything but the blower is NEW.
    Corrello Rods,Moldex crank, Aluminum block, Aluminum pan ect

    Everything that you can do
    The parts list is between $30,000-$40,000

    Yup lottsa money but considering that I never had to spend money on cheap flatties that broke I'm money ahead of a lot a guys and I'll not be making two

    I think the whole 32 project is about $80,000 in parts....no billet ****!

    And when done 'It'll look like I found it in a garage in Glendale for $1500 bucks' :) And that's exactly what I'll tell folks
