No matter the build, the drive or use is the most enjoyable to me! As has been stated project cars are never finished. Always something to change tweak or redo! Joe

I tend to get a project drivable, then work on it as I drive it. I drive the wheels off of it. After about 4 or 5 years of driving, I start on another project. When the new one gets drivable, the old one gets sold off, and the process starts over.
My coupe, project, to drivable, work on it, and currently driving the wheels off of it. Then, the next project. I'm kind of hoping I can keep the coupe, we really are having fun with it. Will probably depend on how the truck comes out. Gene

Hopefully by this time next year one of them is finished to the point that it only needs normal maintenance and can be driven while I finish the next one in the lineup.
There are two kinds of car guys, the ones that finish a ride and drive it for years often wearing it out to the point it needs a full rebuild and those who get bored with a rod or custom as soon as there is nothing left to do with it except drive it, change the oil and grease it and wash and polish it. There seem to be just about an equal number of "builders" and "drivers" on here and from what I have seen over the years often one of the "drivers" ends up buying the finished ride that the builder got bored with when there was nothing else to do on it or no more planning to do.
Main thing is that we need to be doing what makes us happy be it being out in the shop working on the project or doing road trips in the finished project or not so finished project or driving the wheels off the rod we bought off the guy who just finished it and already has plans and parts for the next and maybe a bit better project.
