I own a channeled Deuce 5 window, I'd cut off (***uming I owned it) everything that was remotely usable, and find some young guy to buy the rest, or just hide it and brag that I own 2.

It would definitely look pretty cool sitting just off my driveway, under the apple tree...and all the traffic driving by gawking at it ....it's definetly got some ''cool vibes'' to it...but, man....that poor car!!!:(....forgotten with such a terrible fate! I'm thinking once ya' start digging into it, that the reality will be much to the worse, unless what few things are salvageable can be re-fitted to something else. I just don't possess that kind of skill-sets to do justice with that kind of ravage of time.

That's way beyond my ability, time, and funds. I'd p*** it along to somebody else.

Too old to take that on. Probably just throw a seat in it, get a buddy, eat some chili and have a farting contest.

Remember, this is hypothetical. Usually what I do is pay to much, sink money in it and then sell for less than I paid for it. But , also being a ****er for a deuce, I couldn't p*** it up even if it does look like garbage.

First thing any of you need is a Tet**** shot. Then I'd clean it up and find some young energetic guy like rcnut223 and give it to him I've saved too many like that and ain't doin another one, Unless it was a 33-34 three window.

I'd get it home, take it all apart, then talk about it for 10 years.

Nah really, dipping a car is touchy, I think the electrolysis dip in the tomato bin that the chrysler conv HAMB'R did would be just right for this car. Lots of welding and put it back together the way it is now, channelled, no chop, hemi, with silver base, pale blue candy paint, not sure on wheels tires.

For gas money bring it home if you have room then just dream about what it was in its days and what it could be and keep working on your car in hand

No plugs or carb; pic dated 2001? All the more water down the 'bottomless gullets'.

Moreover, consider the date. "April Fool!" ...but Nobody'd jest with a Hemi Deuce...

I'd drag it home and spend more money than I should on it... lol

But if you look close in the first picture, It's not just sitting out in the woods.. it's in somebodys back yard, or on the edge of their yard anyway..... now If I found something like this just sitting out in the woods.. yeah, I'd drag it home for sure..

I sent him those photos, it's not photo shopped, it's not the only one there and he's "gonna fix it up some day"

My plan would be similar to ******s.

Power wash it and clean it up some.

If it seems like it could fire with out to much effort~ even under water motors can surprise you~ I'd get it fired up.

After that I'd see if the rest of the drivetrain was useable with more time than money invested.

If so rebuild the brakes and do a quick wire job and drive it around the block before I list it online for "stupid survivor deuce" money.

If the motor isn't going to have a prayer of starting with out money being injected into it I'd skip right to the list it online part.

Probably be trying to trade for a body and frame in better shape. It's a complete old hotrod and it's not at all what I would do.

If I did land on the side of it running I'd give it a fair effort to see if it grew on me before trying to sell it.

Now what if I cant get a good body/ rails in trade for this cool old hotrod?

Well then I'll tell the guys who cry that I ruined it that they should have bought it when it was for sale.

I'd brace it up so it doesn't fall apart and take it all apart and take inventory. Un channel it, ditch the elephant and chop it hard. Stuff an angry mill in it and a stick.

With a whole lot of making stuff in between.

The only 32 I'll ever be able to afford is one that I'll have to jigsaw together and scratch build patches for so this rust bucket doesn't seem out of line. I'm still young enough to be dumb enough to do it.

Twenty years ago, I would have enthusiastically brought it home and built it into what I thought the original builder should have had on his mind. My first car was in worse condition then that one is in, and I haven't even looked at this one in real life.

Ten years ago, I would have brought it home, and fixed it, swearing to never do something this rough again.

Last year, I would have brought it home and looked at it every day, wondering if there was enough parts there to come close to getting my money back. (You should see the condition of the 47 Dodge truck I drug home last year).

It would be an awesome conversation piece, parked right along side of my driveway. I'd even move the truck for it to have room. Some day it might actually be a car again, maybe. I believe Forest Gump said "Stupid is what stupid does." I've done this before. Gene

I concur with A****er Mike. 4-1 has to be code for hook, line n sinker.

Even a Deuce can be too far gone, like that one. The comments about it's history? Well fellas, it's history.

Got one way worse than that 25-30 years ago. A 33 or 34 3 window ex circle track car that had seen way better days.
When I got it not a single panel didn't have a hole in it and no front axle. Had to chain saw a 4" tree out of the engine bay. No front fenders or radiator shell. Just the body

The only good part was it had a Frankland quick change that was a late 40's welded conversion add-on rear axle. Traded that for my Latham Supercharger.
    Those were the days

Looks pretty comfortable right where it is- cool photos.
LOTS of work for sure, but there's always something that can be saved ( and it IS a '32!!) Be tough to figure out how to extricate it from Mother Nature.

If it was mine ,I'd get it somewhere safe, and when my wife was out, install it in the living room right next to the '32 roadster she thinks is a couch. (it would make an excellent T.V. stand / wet bar.)

Or give it to "3wLarry" for a "get well" present?? And he could fix the dadgummed thing!!

Put it on a trailer and take it to a big swap meet, like Jefferson Wi. Put a silly high price on it, similar to about 80% of stuff there and see what happens, maybe the one time I would make money on a Hot Rod item. Admire anyone who could make that into something, I see way to many hours and many many $$$ to restore that piece of history. OR as someone stated, Yard Art, a good conversation piece, doubtful my wife would agree or appreciate.

If this is the car my Buddy told me about, unfortunately it is beyond saving. He said the metal is so paper thin that you don't dare touch it. What a shame. I love "32" 5w coupes. We are thinking this is the car that was in our area (Monroeville, PA.) about 1965 and it was a purpleish color. If it is the car, I remember it being at a used car lot in Wilkinsburg in 1964-1965. I would give my left you know what for a 32 5w.
