  1. Ford used the heavy-duty T85 version, with the also heavy duty four pinion OD. I very much doubt that's what he has... And Ford switched to the T10 four speed in '62 for their hi-po offerings because of strength issues with the T85. Even that trans didn't cut the mustard behind the FEs, which is why Ford designed the toploader....

    Wagons are great. I loved my 62 Impala wagon. A late model 350/350 combination. Not a race car but a superhighway cruiser. Sold it to make a profit but thinking about another wagon. Make the drivetrain for cruising.
