how bout matte white to replace the green, and scallops coming off the wheel wells in the same gold metal flake? would really accent the original body lines.

I'd paint the whole truck like that and scallop the shit out of it front to back.

I'd go with black, either matte or gloss, and then some scallops in that same gold to pull it together.

    Later,

I second this. Would look great. Throw a better pic in photoshop thread with some ideas and see what pops.

Just paint it all gold flake...then add scallops to suit,

I'd put some springs back in it, brush some white rustoleum over the whole thing, swap in a big block, and drive it.

Oh wait...that's what I did to my truck already....

Looks like a military officer uniform-- flat green on the bottom, shiny brass on top.

I think you have the contrast knob turned up too much. Your green is too dark & flat and your gold flake too bright & shiny.

I think a gloss body of almost any color would look better (even dark green), or a satin finish of a lighter color.

I'd use the raingutter as the two-tone division and look for a '58-'59 fleetside longbed for the rear.

White would make the gold really pop IMO

Gloss paint chrome bumpers and grille make all the wheels and tires match the spare?

Either gold flake the whole thing, or nice gloss white on the bottom.
