I voted with my wallet, just got done dropping a 331 into my '60 Plym. As I said before, a hemi adds cool factor to anything that didn't come with a hemi(if it came with one, you're just restoring!:)).

You make a very good point, i'm thinking the 413 is going to win for now. I'll save the 392 for another project. Its not going anywhere, hell it could still end up in this thing down the road.

So 413 ftw! It needs some work and then ill paint it up in 1959 golden lion 413 colors. The car is going to weigh 3500-3600 when im done so it should move pretty quick. The 413 is lighter than the 392 as well.

I'll give a very biased vote and say: 392 Hemi.

I vote for the 392 Hemi, Eric convinced me. I just ordered the Mock Block from P-AYR. Mopar is my car!

This one's a no brainer... 392 HEMI! My next choice would be the 413 done up S/S style...

    I'm putting a 62 413/TF in my 58 Plymouth Savoy 2 DRHTP. I don't have a 392 but I do have a331.a Desoto345, and a276 Des. My 270 goes in my A.

  10. *If you want rock-solid reliability, go with the 318
*If you want visual perfection, go with the 392
*If you want to car to haul ass, go with the 413

I'd choose the 392 because there isn't too much out there that's cooler than a Hemi.

I'm a Chevy guy, and typing that last statement was like kissing my sister.
