what year are these and yes whats it worth

An old guy i know took these off of and old packard in the thirties. he said that it came off of something from the mid 20's. He would like to sell them but doesnt know what to ask for them or if they are rare at all.

It looks like a pair of accessory wings that would fit between a motormeter and the radiator cap. For instance, on a Model A or a Model T (or any car with an outside radiator cap). They would work best on a flip-top cap rather than the standard screw on or quarter turn type. As for the Packard wording, note also the "Chicago". Perhaps it was an aftermarket manufacturer. I've not seen one with the slot cut into it. Usually you just remove the motormeter, install the wings and put things back together. I'll avoid putting a price on another man's merchandise; many Model A parts vendors carry the wings. I like the patina on the ones you show.

this is THE GUY to ask about Packards here..might be some other guys who know them well, but Jocko runs a shop and they specialize in packards

Model A Speedster nailed it. As for worth, find a Packard guy and ask him or just price it at whatever and see who offers what, or let the crooks at the Bay drain your blood.
