trying to figure it out, cutlass mabe ?
i was told it came from a 1983 cutlass, but when i went to get a centerlink the only thing i could match was a 1970ish f-85. this thing has disc brakes. i thought these 1970s f-85 had drums..
so, I am not clear on the year..

That is S10 territory actually...figure it fits in a shoebox and they are like 57" +/- upfront and like 57.5" out back. Might be?

And the front frame horns are cut, which is invariably what happens with S10 clip swaps.

this was someone elses attempt ,i ve actually removed the frame from the car
and put a 1954 frame that has been uncut under the car , i just was trying to figure it out for another project down the road.

  9. I would have to compare some pics when I get home, but it looks a lot like the front steer Camaro/Nova stub that I grafted into my '60 El Camino.

It had huge front frame horns as well that I trimmed down. I imagine most mid-size GM cars from the mid-1970's on through the 80's looked pretty similar. Maybe a '78-'87 G-body (Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Buick Regal, etc.)

definatly not a full size car ,the upper control arms are too sm,s 10 be my guess also,i would beef up that union where it meets the original as you dont know the welders abilities that did the work, overkill is good in that area, ask me how i know

looks like a 73-79 nova or ventura

  13. ...it would be 75-up if it's a Nova or clone, 74 and older had rear-steer.

If it is 57 " wide track width then it's an s10.. if its wider than that it's a cutlass/regal 78 to 87..they use same ball joints, a frames, idler arm etc. just narrower ( thru the centerlink) for s10

I vote for S-10 see where the frame has been torched for the SBC fuel pump...would not have to do that on a g-body or other clip, cause the S 10 is so narrow.

I'd have to say teh frame was torched for the fuel pump because the motor mounts have been shifted back. It looks alot like my mid 70's Camaro subframe to me.
