I went to a car show at Utah Valley University, this morning, and only took pics of 2 cars.

Those Mopar intakes were wild- good looking and performing (from what I've heard, no personal experience).

Today I saw some of the worse exhaust system repair possible. This is on my daughters rig I was working on today with her. She said she took it in because of an exhaust leak. I thought that was mud daubers. Nope!

But they'll tell you they stopped the leak. Job done. I hope they let the pidgeon, sorry, welder, go home.

    upload_2024-6-13_3-29-14.png 1965 Chrysler Newport sedan

    Hello,

How does an old 60’s sedan from out of state do in the salty air So Cal coastline after years of day in/day out parking outside? We have seen this old Chrysler parked in various parking lots at different times of the year. From far away, coming down the road, it looks rather cool with the Moon discs plastered on such a large sedan and a 4 door one at that.
    upload_2024-6-13_3-30-23.png

Up close, the paint has seen better days, but the idea of a most unusual old, 60 year old sedan (65 model, but could have been a fall of 64 introduction) still rolling around as a daily driver is impressive. Plus, the Moon Discs are an added attraction that only hot rod folks or old racers would know its original styling.
upload_2024-6-13_3-31-31.png A Chrysler Newport model was designated and on this side of the rear quarter, the paint looks impressive.

But, several other quick photos provided a different look of a hard life, yet still on the road for its daily life, in its current state.
upload_2024-6-13_3-33-12.png It did not look as if rust was the problem of being left outside, it is the constant "nearness" or barrage of the daily contact with our friend along the coastal areas, salt air infusion. Although there are many ways that "rust never sleeps," salt air is the family member that just does not go away and eventually rules the roost. YRMV

My son’s best friend took his 37 to work. He got it from his father like I gave my son the 40 Chevrolet we raced. Roch worked about 5 years taking the body off and doing everything himself. Since he lives in Corona Ca. and over 100* today; he’s questioning why he didn’t include AC IMG_0336.jpeg

I spy with my little eye... hey is that a Plymouth bumper? Saw this at a garage that's been sitting for sale for a couple of years.

Looks like you can do quite a lot of modifications in Kentucky and still run a "Historic" plate.
