    Hello,
After the glow of the Cherry Avenue acceleration run, I kept thinking about it, as I was wandering around the closed museum. I came across this interesting sedan delivery. It was a chopped 39 Willys Sedan Delivery and I had never seen one before, let alone a customized, chopped, cool looking build. So, I peeked inside.

Now, our old 40 Ford Sedan Delivery had a bad right rear and rear blind spot, but this one was pretty small and felt totally enclosed.

upload_2017-6-11_9-7-53.png Low clearance and mini rear window view...
A chopped sedan delivery will make the enclosed feeling of a normal sedan delivery tighter and make the blind spot huge...

    Jnaki
But, we wouldn't say no to owning that one as it was completely finished and ready to drive a 1000 miles...

jeffd1988, I think that is Don Dillard(DRD57) in the green full-fendered 32. He has a hot rod shop in Southern California. I think it's called Highway 99 hot rods or something similar to that. He also hosts Dons Hot Rod Page on the net.

Mo Junk, I thought that too and I think you're right on all counts except the Southern Ca, i think it's more central to the lower reaches of northern, but hey! Not seen the car for a while but saw him at LAR, clicking away as usual!

Don, came to one of the first HAMB DRAGS . He rode with me on the Route 66 cruise portion of the weekend . He acquired the 32' some years later. There should be a thread on here discussing the accident he had with it. He also drives a brown primer Model A coupe. In 2012 he stayed at the Motel 6 in Wendover when we were there for Bonneville. If you get the chance, visit with him.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago outside of a body shop in Lockport, Il. Kind of caught me off guard
since it was in the middle of the week.

  16. would you believe a lowered/chopped top 56 Chevy sedan delivery - which was done pretty nice.....think they stalled on the glass = mainly the front windshield - the rest would be easy....

Seen this today. Sitting in garage35 years. Rust free. I'm a chevy guy but I couldn't pass it up. All parts except running gear. Bringing it home next week. Any chevy trades? PART_1499394438788_IMG_20170610_125800.jpg PART_1499394475927_IMG_20170610_125824.jpg

A big brown snake with a few speckles of maybe dark red or black, no pics :( so I guess it didn't happen..It was under a lawn chair resting and when the step kid moved the chair; surprise! It was little over 3 feet long and pretty fat at about 2-1/2' diameter...Maybe it just ate but I couldn't shoo it away, it kept making lunges..Held it down with a broom and grabbed it with HF long reach grabber..Pretty heavy walking it over to the flower garden at edge of woods and letting it go..Dog came out later and knew [nose knows] exactly where it had been sitting and tracked it to the flower garden where I released it and it probably came from; of course he had to roll around on the lawn in a few places, mustsa smelled good..At least to him!...

Rigby, Idaho show yesterday .... in the 90s all day, but in a tree filled park.
The Packard was from Leadore, a town almost a ghost town now. I wasn't able to get the story on the paint, but most of the car is just plain ol' survivor.
Nice '56 Nomad, a '44 AA gun, & Amesflames Corvair double door.

    Hello,

Actually, I did not see this truck today, but on June 24, 2017, in Long Beach. In reality, sitting at my computer, going through and organizing my files, I saw it just staring at me, so it had to be here. This custom truck fits the bill.

The Chevy truck was one of the nicest at the recent Lions Dragstrip Museum opening event. It was parked in front of Tommy Ivo’s clear glass, race car, carrier trailer. It was the best looking truck at the event and IMHO, one of the coolest custom trucks around.

Appletons, Lancer hubcaps, frenched headlights, fog lights, custom rear tire skirts, a radical chopped top, nicely done louvers, and a custom bed cover all added to the custom truck look.

    Jnaki
It must have hydraulics as there was only about a two finger clearance in the rear fender/bumper area. It was LOW.
