Get the hand breaded chicken fingers next time you're there. I did the R&D on the breading! Lol. They're really good. Won best chicken fingers in the US a few years back!

Is that the one in Chelsea/Dexter area? I've been meaning to drive the wife out there in the shoebox this summer....

did not get a picture but, saw gas prices sign that had $7.02 for 91 octane gas - Nor-Cal

  11. That's just crazy!!! Not to sound like an old fart (which I am) but I wish I had a nickel for every gallon of gas I pump as a kid in the '60s for $0.259 per gallon! Have wages gone up 2,700% in the last 60 years?? I think not!

A little Dirty Sanchez in Wetumpka Alabama tonight. I've known this truck since it was just a rusty old cab. Finally moving under its own power. Looks Awesome Ronnie. 20220604_165933.jpeg 20220604_170724.jpeg

    Hello,

Nice find… That truck in your neck of the woods did not happen to drive out West for a vacation last week, for new rims and tires, did it?

My wife and I were on one of our errand day drives and happen to see a cool looking Red Chevy pickup truck parked on the side of a road near the beach, next to a chain link fence. The similarities are uncanny, until one looks at the wheel choices and truck model. S/S vs Americans… Ford vs Chevy … But, the Red just draws the eye and hands go for the digital camera.

Those old trucks are still very much a happening thing all over the USA, but in hot rod/old car circles in So Cal, they seem to be the mode of the current era as far as sightings. There are/were plenty of Red Ford-Chevy trucks. Most are daily drivers and see a lot of work related road trips. While others are so shiny, as well as presenting themselves as mild custom trucks out for a great cruise around the So Cal weather and locations.

p.s. Near our old house 15 miles away, we spotted this one getting some refreshments.

And, earlier in 2021, a similar cool Red pickup, but different truck was taken on a fast drive by, using my digital camera, during some traffic, in North OC, near the beach.

Red Ford/Chevy Truck Heaven in So Cal? Well, almost a daily occurrence. They are great to spot far away as they stand out from the normal Grey/Silver/White/Black standard colors of other daily drivers.

Saw this today at this car lot. Supposedly it has a 440 with a automatic in it. They also had a 57 Fairlane 500 that is original. I don’t know anything about them but I am posting a pic of the mopar and the sign with the number if anyone is interested. I screwed the pic of the Fairlane up. In addition to the above truck that I posted and may end up with fairly soon...trying pretty hard to get the same current owner to sell me this...
