Dodge truck

Hello,

It is not a coincidence, but over a year ago, (start of the pandemic) we saw this red Dodge pickup on a side street on a coastal So Cal road trip. It was similar to one we saw a few years back. A happy couple were cruising down the street and then we turned on our own direction and lost sight of the red truck.

But, haven’t seen it for quite some time. Recently, my wife and I were driving down a street, we saw the red pickup truck pull into a McD’s and followed him to take a quick photo to see if it was the same truck we saw years ago.

With the pandemic, one never knows. After scrutinizing the two photos, one old, one new, it is the same Dodge truck we saw many years back. It is still around So Cal coastal areas and has not moved to another location. Still a nice truck, it looks as if it is the same owner, and continues to be a reliable daily driver.

So, it has been a daily driver in So Cal, but just not in our area of road trips…

I saw a hot rod. Up in the mountains. Pretty neat.

 

Man! I’m always seeing stuff, I just lose the pics in my phone and forget to post ‘em.

Here’s a dump from the last year or so.



The little Chevy pick up lives in the next neighborhood over, the green one on the trailer was getting off the freeway near my house, the El Caminos were in a neighborhood we were cow-parading (Portuguese thing, don’t ask) through along with the other cars.

Now I don’t feel so guilty.

heh...no, that's ATF, a transmission cooler line sprung a leak. They went to find some, which might have been difficult up in the mountains.

At Shakertown near Harrodsburg, KY. Nice car, sounded strong, he was in a group of other Classic cars. Louisiana tags, long but fun drive if he drove it the whole way.

Unfortunately i didn't see any old cars till I saw my 53 when I got home from work. Sad as there are a lot of killer old cars around here. Occasionally I see a rough 46 merc a one armed dude occasionally drives through town. I'm hoping once I start driving my 53 daily it'll motivate locals to actually start driving their jalopies lol

 

Had a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr speedometer come in for repairs, had no idea a good customer of mine had the car locally. Have always wanted to do one of these speedometers, decided to deliver it when finished so I could see the car in person. Turns out it’s a convertible to boot.
He also had a 1941 that was an 80’s build that he’s going to blow apart.
