What'd you get done this weekend??

  1. Finally sent the '52 to the big car lot in the sky, after stripping off a few things, put new brakes on the daily, cleaned up the crap that accumulates in a jon boat when it's closer to the front of the barn than the shelves where things SHOULD go are. Cleaned up my landlord's yard (Here in FL, insurance companies are dropping people left and right to minimize their exposure to hurricanes, the new insurance Co. didn't like my crap in the yard) so I took two trailer loads to the dump)

And the most important thing... I turned down a FREE project, a ComPac sailboat... and decided to sell another potential project instead of having it clutter up the barn. Admitting you have a problem is the first step.

Went to a swap meet, took a bunch of parts, sold em', made a little cash, and was able to pay for a windshield glass replacement on my roadster!

My tired little old compressor dies, so sunday we installed a brand-spankin new Ingersoll Rand 5hp 80 gallon compressor in my garage... We had to disassemble it to get it off my truck bed. There were only two of us and it weighs more than us combined. Then, my brother and I spent all day running copper lines throughout the garage with 5 air drops. Tested it out at about 9pm and VOILA! no leaks on the first try! Gotta love that. More power!
