  1. so many ways to do this
    leave it
    add stock roof
    add five window roof

    shortened vicky roof
    roof coupe from any 33 34 35 36

I know the guy who won the e-bay auction. I don't think he's a member. He called this joker seller to get an address so he could send a cashiers check or money order. The guy told him "Your not buying the car, I've had local offers for more then that" and hung up on him. Total asshole!!

Me to after I read your post you quoted, but it amazes me how easy it was for him to back out of the auction. The buyer contacted E-bay and they won't take any action. The guy has 0 feedback so what's there to loose...

Just another jackass wanting to make every penny he can off a car that people like me can only dream of owning, thats fine, someone will end up with it and they can park it in a barn with the other 20 that they have......I dont give a shit, I sold all my crap in the last week so I dont have to worry about chasing the damn parts that are twice what they should cost any more, and I dont have to deal with pricks like this guy any more....Jim

That deal stinks to high hell. If the auction closed and the seller let it close, the winner should have the car. How can the seller say to Ebay "I've changed my mind ?"

I'm a little different than some people, I would push this thing to the limit. If Ebay is no help I would file a small claims case for failing to go through with the sale. I did that once..........bought a boat and left a check with the owner so I could pick it up and pay him cash on Friday. On Thursday the check was in my mailbox with a note saying he changed his mind and was going to sell it to his Son. I had our company Attorney write him a letter and it said if he didn't go through with the sale he would have to compensate me for the difference between that boat and a comparable boat. The guy called me the next day and I got the boat. :D

Sometimes you just have to be a pitbull and not take no for an answer.

That someone should feel lucky about not being able to buy it, its not worth 14k. The owner should have sold it to the high bidder, who in their wright mind would be willing to give more than that? But, dont seem to own their own computer to bid on it.

The freind of mine (Jack) that won the auction on ebay has the car now. The guy had it for sale locally for a little more then the $14,000 it brought on e-bay. He jerked a few more people around and finally sold it to a 3rd party that bought it for my freind Jack. I never did here the final sale price. It went to a good home.

The story is the car had a hot flathead in it back in the mid 50s. The kid got one to many tickets with the car and he was forced to retire it. He sold the engine, and the body was sold to this guy. He's had the car for over 50 years in a shed. The body is rust free, just to bad he didn't get the top.

Jack is going to drop a flathead in it and leave it just the way it is!!

That's... the rest of the story.... Glad to see the bidder did get it, too bad he was jerked around in the process.

my bosses dad actually cut the roof of the car when he was 14 and hot rodded the hell out of it i guess. my boss tried buying the car from this juhl but he laughed at him. the guy is a total dick head! his dad always told him he wanted the car back but the guy would never sell it back to him.
