We now have places like e-bay, Craigslist, the HAMB Cl***ifieds and U-ship.com. Your statement may have held water 30 years ago. Today a person can buy and ship a car, that's in the midwest, sitting in a chair at home. Welcome to the 21'st century.

20k sounds just about right for a 5w in the condition you describe.

 

Here's my example. Found this in a "Barn", been stored for years. 99% complete just need to finish the interior. 21 stud engine was rebuilt but hasn't run for years. Paint is cracking and chipping in back. Came with a lot of extra parts. I offered $25K on the spot before someone else did.

There is a ****ty 34 five window near my house that was offered to me for $500 with a ***le. I said, of course, and then he changed his mind. I've been trying to buy it for two months. I've only seen the ***le, not the car, but he says it's rough. I don't care. I just offered him a whole bunch more money today to see if that gets him motivated to sell. I also offered his son $500 if he can help convince him to sell it to me.
