I,ve had to do a lot of sheet metal work on my coupe. It's been mentioned before it's a good idea to put seam sealer on the back side of the newly welded seam to prevent contaminants from eventually making the seam reappear. What is a good product to use ? Gene

Wurth, Kent, 3M. I prefer a 2 part seam sealer.

  8. I use 3m brushable it comes in a can , takes a little while to get the hang of it . It looks factory if you get it on good . On the backside of **** welds I use a good household type silicone caulk just to be sure no moisture can come thru the weld .

3M 8362 is a nice single component seam sealer you can use with a normal caulk gun. It tools out nice, you can use a acid brush , a spreader, your finger.....paintable in 30 minutes....and it can be applied directly over bare metal

Haven't used anything but, in a long time.

  11. We always use 3M, most of the times we use the brushable type.
I use a dollar store brush with the bristles trimed down to about 1in. in lenght.
This seems to give me better control of the sealer.
