That gent is a friend of mine. The Mustang has a C6 rear suspension/diff. Front is MII with the original towers cut out..
Nice that the outside looks like a somewhat plain..almost beat..looking Mustang..

He had a 'Vette that had motor issues from new. Ask him about it..

He put a FORD 427 side oiler in it..

His T Bucket is 8 sec car he drives on the street..guy does some NICE work.

 

Local guy has a 1950 Chevy Fleetline, Mustang front clip, 9 inch Ford rear and SBF, lisence plate reads NOEKG. REALLY pisses the Heartbeat crowd.

This fooled everybody. I mean everybody. I loved to tell the guys after they explained to their wives and girlfriends all about the Cad. engine. Easy as pie. The Cad. valve covers lay right over the sbc covers.

 

You could say you don't give a shit what they think,,,,, but the fact that you posted the thread says otherwise......

it's funny. when people ask if my shoebox ford has a sbc i get blank stares when i say no, it's a flathead. now that i'm building a 283 for my 36 pontiac people ask why i'm not just building a 350. i say " because i like to answer the same question over and over again".

 

Either take the high road or ask him where his car is...

 

yeah it wont help....I got a lic plate that says 4spd327 and people at runs or where ever walk up behind my street freak 56 and ask...."so ya got a big block in it".............damn

All of the anwsers are good to me. allthough you shouldn't have to explane your self.some guys are just hard core ford people and mopar people. I have a 48 Plymouth tudor sedan with a 400 SBC I get a lot of Mopar guys ask why I didnt put a hemi in it and I tell them I didn't want to put anything in it that would slow it down I was forced to leave the brakes on it.

 

I get that same question ... when some folks see the SBC in my 32 Ford.

I usually just ignore them ... because if they ask that question ... they are usually too stupid or too opionated for me to really explain why.
