whats a nailhead worth?

recently aquired a running 64 401 nailhead, 110,000 miles on it, wanting to go to a swap meet with it wondering what fair price would be. it does have the factory aluminum buick covers on it. also would it be better if i get it tore down block checked and cleaned and then take it to the show so that crank and such can be seen, just trying to get the most if i can, thanks.

 

I paid $600 for mine but I got the whole car with it.

 

If you tear it down the only person you'll seel it to is some like me. leave it together and sell it as a running but long mile motor.

The rocker covers go pretty high normaly. I'd stick a 600-800 price tag on it and be prepaired to deal. Or if you deliver I'll give you 100 bucks for it sight unseen.

 

Yep, worth a lot less apart than together. Ask $800 and maybe you'll get $600, and that is a maybe
