Wow...I'm always letting my neighbor borrow tools and stuff, I always get them back broken or something. Cool to hear someone borrow something and actually be a decent person and return a favor, and then some.

I went to fix someone's computer, and got a old chevy intake and carbs for free, and a great offer on a mustang he is selling. First time that's happened to me, but it was really cool. I never have stuff like that happen before...

I've always tried to help out a few of my elderly neighbors with car repair and lawn mowing. Several years ago a sweet old lady gave me her dad's gun. It's a late 1800's double barrell 12 ga shotgun. She gave my wife her personal gun, a Savage double barrell 410. Not to mention the 25" color TV.
Another elderly couple I was helping both died (they were as good as gold) in their will they left me his '68 C-30 winch truck with 20' gym poles.
I'm now helping another couple, he has terminal cancer. He told me the other day to go in his shop and take anything I wanted. I got 6 bottles of STP oil treatment.
All these are within 1/4 of a mile from my house and only takes a few hours a month.
I'm nearly 50, been married for 27 years and have no kids. I hope when I get old and need help someone will be there for me???

I loaned my trailer to a friend a couple weeks ago and he lost one of my ramps and bent the stand because he forgot to swing it up. 99% of my trailer loaning experiences are not good, glad to hear yours was.
