Technical Whats going on here?

    1941 Chevy I saw at a car show in Parowan Ut. The ign coil appears to have a cable coming out of the top of it and going thru the firewall into the cabin, at first I thought it was the coil wire but the coil wire comes out the bottom.

    Unless I'm mistaken I believe that goes to the ignition switch.

    Looks like there's a 2nd cable coming off of the bottom of the coil that is perhaps the high voltage lead to the distributor. If that's the case it's the first coil that I've seen arranged that way.

    Maybe it’s hooked up to p***enger Seat, just for fun lol.

    It's just a way to slow down theives, the hot wire comes out the bottom of the coil. It's not the only one like that.

    Factory stuff. They bragged about how theft-proof it was. If you've owned one, you quickly find out how easy it would be to hotwire it - one whack with a fist exposes the wire.
