might be the camera as they are centered.... what it needs is to come down in the back...it's a cross leaf, so I can reverse the leaf and remove a couple lift stack pieces from the top.. and probley have to do something with the long tube headers.. this car runs off in all directions as far as style goes.... so need to pick one and go with it.. again,... wish I could, or new some one that would photo shop some wheels on this car... the way I used to do it was cut the pic and slide the wheels up.... just my opinion , they put the motor too low...probley to not have to build a trans tunnel...another cool thing they did... a wire terminal block... so all the wires disconnect to take the body off...

another thing with this car, is to blow it apart and build what ever you want and just go to the parts pile..
i did one like this 40 years ago cause I couldn't stand the color and the only way to change it was take it apart... after looking.... i could have the body off this car in a couple hrs...but hoping I start liking the yellow more...I think it's too loud.... I didn't buy this car to flip.... but thought it was too good of a deal to pass up..

the coolest thing about this car is the OG 1932 frame.... with that it can be anything you want it to be, if the guy selling the 32 RPU body lived in vegas, that body would probley be in my garage right now... and there's a few selling steel roadster bodys,... but, you would be open to the A and T bodys also...

well, it just got tougher ...the bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5... puts out using any of my wheels on hand... or trying ones off my other cars... most all of my wheels are 5 on 5.5... I wanted to go 16's 16x5 front..5-50 tires... and 16 x6 rear.. 750 tiress..

    still open to suggestions...

one of the things, and I see it a lot.... is the motor is settin about 3'' low... got no idea why they do that.... to keep the floor board flat??? anyway... the oil pan and headers are too close to the ground now...one of those that''l drag across speed bumps....

Looks awesome with the steelies! Wheel smith makes them in multiple bolt patterns if your going to run caps you can get a multi pattern wheel and cover it up.

I can’t remember if it’s 5x4.5 or 4.75 but there is a mopar? Steelies that looks like the 40 ford but is the smaller bolt pattern. Could be worth looking into as well.

still studying this front end...one thing they did was to put the shocks on the back side of the axel and spring...which puts the head lights way back, also...try'n to remember how much the frame has to pinch at the cowl to put a model A body on a 32 frame... something keeps telling me this had a model A body at one time with 32 rails and grille???? they could have done with tabs at the cowl????

It’s a small amount at the cowl. If it had been pinched at the cowl for an A body none of your 32 stuff at the cowl/ firewall would line up. I think any modification has been done forward of the firewall to pinch the rails at the grill.

I would think if you looked at it from the bottom it’d be pretty obvious where the change has been made.

Good catch on why the headlights are so far back

Compare how the frame related to the grill and hood side here to yours. Should help see where things have been changed IMG_7374.jpeg

but if it was an A body on 32 rails they could have picched it just in the front, like say a 31 sedan or roadster...still try'n to secound guess it as the guy I got it from doesn't know any history... pretty sure it's henry rails... found a couple spots where they didn't get frame sanded smooth , and the plating to box it is pieced in

If frame is boxed , some one experienced
with 32s can use a bore scope can tell if Fo MoCo frame , , if you know what to look for , It would take a lot work to erase all& certain details on inside of rails ,
Easier if body was removed also,
Not asking for you to show your Vin ,
    Would not recommend !!
You could also verify , there are little details if your familiar with,

In my opinion , Those wheel , just ??!!
Your car , do as you please ,
To me Back looks to high ? & rear as a fender-less looks to fair back , maybe just angle of pic ,
Not busting on your car , maybe it color,
    I have a 32 that I call it the egg ,
Ford Apple Green , & Dark Green frame & Fenders , looks Black from distance

They don’t pinch the 32 frame on a model A to fit the grill they do it to fit the cowl which is narrower than a 32. If you look at the stock one I posted you can see that yours is different from roughly where a the steering box is on that photo forward

some where on this site that showed a pic of a stock 32 frame... like a blueprint, and also a 31..if I knew the measure ment I could check.....any way.... first problem for me is the yellow... but it is what it is, and will never be my dream car.. I think it's stuck in the 60's and the wheel change will help... if i was to pull the body, and repaint the chassis.... I could go in any direction.... but being from a different planet, I don't like to loose money on old cars.... I don't wanna have 20 k over what a car if worth to have a different color...next, the glass body... to me it will never be a traditional build/car... so why do it...so I ordered some wheels...7 &8's , which is more 60-70's vs 5 and 6's.....if I don't like the wwheels no big deal... won't put them on... so I kinda got the car simmering on the back burner..... meanwhile I keep looking at it and thinking about what to do next,, I think the motor is sitting too low... which make the frame too hight.... but again.... I could blow it apart and start over and have all the parts right there...

    Color or car?
    Its not a roaster , its a sedan ,
Pics over years are on here & your thread Glass vs Steel ,
If your grill shell in stock location for fenders & No hump @ firewall & floor ,
Gm trains , Yes your engine is Low .
I have no problem with glass,
Mine are not , Just been in hobby & around peps, that been involved since around 46 , to present .
I have been entertaining for a roadster,
A FoMoCo , maybe BV , even the FoMo
It will have to have a few parts
that are & are Original to the
    FoMo roaster,
same when building gathering parts for my FoMo A roadster ,
    When it comes to paint , I learn my lesson , Multicolor H O K candy's,
Fresh new paint , Chip, Scratches from road ,& people can not stop touching climbing on , my egg is Lacquer same with it ,
