Who made it? whats it called? Shouldnt we be making these? Anyone know the history? Coolest lifting eye for a flathead Ive ever seen
This one appears to drop in and rotate and use the bolts as guides to keep it from rotating. That KR Wilson one is sweet too!
I think im gonna give it a try...might look into having a foundry cast some. Idk how big of a market there would be for em but its super cool
Lots of stuff winds up on eBay that the sellers make a guess at what it is. Not that I’d have had a clue what it was, but I’d have asked before trying to sell/auction it off.
Pretty easy and super cheap to fabricate 2 grade 8 bolts, a couple of hard washers and a short piece of chain. With that you have the feature of being able to tilt the engine fore and aft by slipping the chain through the hook.
Look! Another tool for the non-essential tool list, as if most of us don't have enough of those. How often do you pull the intake and pull the flathead out of your car?
Depends on how many cars you have and how many flatheads...i have 7 flattys right now...just sold a cpl
Plus....its just dang cool! Its like cylinder honing stones or valve spring compressors, you dont need em til you need em then theyre dang handy and save tons of money! Plus old tools are just cool!
