A friend of mine got this car and it has these heads and intake on it. Its a 40 ford coupe. Looked like it was a real hot rod back in the day. I had never seen any and wanted to know what the heads and intake were worth
Im new to all of this stuff there is not any on egay so i am just trying to get a real f-ing answer about it. If it WAS FOR SALE it would be on the FOR SALE forum
the fng has some balls,no respect to anyboby,I was told fng stands for f*cking new guy,am I right, you only have 11 post, slow down gr*** hopper.
Well new ones are $600.00, so I'd say somewhere north of there. All depends on how bad someone wants it.
the man asked a simple question and all he got was flamed. im not to sure where the lack of respect lies riverrat
I guess were are just getting sick of all the whats it worth posts, Relax with the AT***UDE...The HAMB should start charging for a whats it worth post. John
Hmmm, those heads don't look stock. Can you make out any writing on the heads? p.s. It kinda sounds like you're gonna strip the cool stuff from a neat old hot rod, kinda ruffles some feathers Rich
Rich- Dead nuts on. Those are Thickston heads as well. Notice the threaded female boss between the two center head bolts underneath the water outlet? That is for the center hold nut for the Thickston head covers. They still also have the original Thickston red paint. You nailed it. I would ***ume that we can expect to see this set-up on E-bay shortly. Ponderous, man. Ponderous.
And the logo under the water neck looks like it says Thickstun. I was wondering what that extra hole was for. Original PM7 intakes were also painted, I'm ***uming gold, mine had some paint still on it before I polished it. Very cool setup. Rich
$$$$$$$$$$$$ probably! It does sound as if they're going to be stripped and will end up on eBay - what are the chances of them ending up on someone's wall with the rest of their flathead head collection?
Ha, a little flack like the old days....not Germ level flack, but flack non the less. Ky Camber - It's really WORTH removing loveingly from the car. Remove the heads and intake very carefully. Check to see what the cam is, check the end paly in the crank, might even have some Johnsons in side....look inside the ****** to, might want to go through the carbs....look for obvious problems and get and old timer to help you. Re***emle with new gaskets. DO NOT RESTORE ANYTHING, just put it back the way it is and try to fire it. Someone, somewhere, sometime put a little thought and care into it....keep the memory of it alive and enjoy it!!!!!! You have something nice there, mess with it and you can't go back!!!! Have fun.
