I've got a chance to buy flathead out of a '49 ford 1 ton grain truck complete. Carb to pan including the flywheel,cluth, pressure plate and bell housing. HE says it has an AB on one of the heads. The tranny has a PTO and the guys keepin it. I got the usual "it ran when I parked it story" so I'm countin on a rebuild although it would be kool to be able to report one of those purrs like a kitten stories. anyway, WHATS IT WORTH? Thanks for the help.
If its something that has'nt run in the past 50 years, about $2-350. Probably up to $400 if it looks like something that is in realy decent shape, and up from there if it runs. -Dean
