what is an ORIGINAL 1955 ford customline 4 door worth in ABSOLUTELY ORIGINAL condition. runs GREAT . Minor rust around wheel wells ONLY!!! Has 292 Y block , 3 on the tree, cable overdrive, 65,000 miles. Everything works .
Two guys in my club both just bought almost identical 55 4 doors. Run, drive, good shape. Most paid for the one was $4000... tops.
As with anything, it's worth whatever somebody is willing to give you for it. As long as it's worth it to you and you're happy, it's a good deal.
rumur is that James Dean drove it in one of his movies. waiting on the paperwork to prove it to come in.
wow didnt take long to get a price quote and then slap it in the classifieds probably shouldn't have said how much you payed for it
I got a Stude that rumor has it was manufactured in Indiana, bet mine is closer to the truth than yours. I think that tghis is one of the reasons that no one likes to reply to these types of threads.
This is why I use Old Cars Report, Hemmings ads, and eBay auctions to sort out the value on cars and set an asking price. On the other hand, you now know you can offer the guy $2600 and double his money on it... being a 4-door it's not going to sell very fast regardless how nice it is.
This should be an interesting thread. Personally I wouldn't pay 4g for it, floods, quarters and wheel wells, headliner. the originality and survivor status is kinda moot if you start welding right.
No I liked the first one but I'll delete my post so that no one knows the truth about it if you want. Oh and it doesn't change him from being a Richard Cranium. I saw a fella riding a mule once, no one said it was a mule but it was.
Why would a potential buyer care what he paid for it? Does that change what it's worth to someone who really really wants it? As if anyone really really wants a fourdoor grandma car...
