I'm trying to figure out what a '40 plymouth business coupe would be worth. It's a complete car, a little rust in the floors, needs a full resto but it all there and solid. I don't have any pics of it right now.
I know, it just looks like a '40 plymouth covered in surface rust though, nothing out of the ordinary.
I bought one here in Wisconsin, originally from Texas but also with a bad floor, trim was off and it had primer on it, paid $1500. I'd generally add some value onto it for being all bolted together, but I'll take that right back off for having surface rust. So, somewhere in the $1500 range. Depends a lot on how nice the trim and gl*** is, and if it has a ***le.
I was going to say 1,000 to 1,500 as well. But I would not feel in the least bit guilty if I could snag it for 500
If you are looking to make an offer, I always ask myself, if it were my car and I was selling it, how much money would I settle for from a buyer. Prices vary greatly in different locales in the country.
