The March Meet at Bakersfield The Grand National Roadster Show L A Roadsters Fathers Day Show Blackies - if he does it again
Well, next weekend is the Spring Grand Run weekend in Pigeon Forge, TN. Not really the show itself, but the 3 to 4 mile stretch of the main drag that is stuffed with all kinds of cars on display and for sale. They fill the parking lots and motel front yards as much as possible. You'll wonder how such an event ever got started. Really cool. They do the same thing again in September a couple times during the Shades of the Past weekend, followed by the Grand Run weekend. One of the best shows I've ever been to is the NHRA Hotrod Reunion in Bowling Green, KY. Drag racing and vintage racers at a vintage style track, although its really up to date, just the track setting makes it easy to picture the cars running here back in the day. Another super weekend car show that gets well under way by Thursday is the Ducktail Run in Gas City, IN in conjunction with the James Dean Run in Fairmount, IN which is 5 miles away. Mostly hotrods, customs, restored originals, and a little bit of everything else. Takes place last full weekend in September. A few thousand cars from all over the place.
LoneStar Roundup Austin T.X Heavy Rebel Weekender Winston Salem N.C The GoodGuys show in FortWorth BilletProof................Anywhere they have one lol

There are two BIG car shows every year at Daytona International Speedway . One is thanksgiving weekend and the other is in the spring about the first week in April. They darn near fill the entire infield (except for lake Lloyd).
The Round Up - Austin, TX for sure!! Pistons & Paint was a really great show this year too! (Denton, TX)

Although not an actual car show the best event of the year in So Cal is the Pasadena Roadster Reliability Run held on May 2nd this year. It's an invitation only event for traditional roadsters limited to 100 steel bodied cars. Generally a 130 mile timed course with stops to draw cards for a Poker hand. The best representation of roadsters on the west coast with many historical cars in attendance. At the end awards are passed out, best poker hand, best time and Presidents choice for favorite roadster. This is what real roadster owners love, to actually drive their cars and appreciate the others in attendance. It is a car show before the run and when they all return for the awards and In-N-Out burgers. My personal favorite event of the year. The FOGGER
Bonneville Nationals Speed Week, worlds greatest car show period. Between the rod runs and the near 500 race cars its the best Ive ever seen. The nitely car show at the Stateline is worth the trip alone
Shhhh... Don't tell anybody about Pistons and Paint. It's a great show and the perfect size as it is.
STRANGERS BBQ !!!!!!!! (and Asphalt Invitational used to be the best weekend) GG West Coast Nationals Paso Maria
NSRA street rod nationals in Louisville. The weather usually sucks (way too hot), but the fact that that many pre-48's are in one place is amazing. If you are looking for ideas to rob, that is the place to see everything (there really are 1,000 ways to build a 32 Ford!). It helps when working through those ideas that are working in the back of your mind. There is a good chance that somebody else had the same idea and put it into metal. You get to see it in real life if it works or not. I usually end up taking several hundred pictures of "details". The air conditioned vendor area is nice place to take a break from the unbearable heat.
not in any order.......................but dewey round-up salina KKOA HAMB drags Ft. Scott gee do we see a trend here?
North East. Lead East! http://www.leadeast.net/welcome.html But really, the best show is always the next one on my calendar!
I went to the "Turkey Run" last Thanksgiving and it was neat. If you are NY in July, the Syracuse Nationals is a great show... over 6000 cars. The Blue Suade cruise at Norwalk Oh (drag strip) in sept is also an awesome show which I believe is now run by GoodGuys
