Whats the coolest...most traditional period correct wheel tire combo for the 60s?

    bringing back a thread........

    I only remember the 70's, anything before is just from movies and mags.
    I resently installed these wheels front and rear. looking for some opinions on what period they would be correct for?

    Here is what I ran in the mid to late 60's on my 40 Coupe. Pre 65 in high school I drove my dads Chevy pickup. All I could afford were baby moons on black stock wheels as were most of my cheap *** friends. I begged dad to pay the extra $2 per tire for narrow whites. The best I could do with him was porta walls and he *****ed when he had a flat. It wasn't until the early 70's that I steped up to a new set of Cragers.

    I remember my uncle had a new 1966 dodge something or other, but what I remember was he put a set of keystone mags on it. Or was it 1969? damn, I'm getting old!
