1952-59 Ford What's the difference in the 1954 Ford splash aprons?

The Ranch Wagon originally had a inline 6 and the splash apron was no problem, but what is the difference in the V8 apron and the inline 6? got pictures?

It might be easier to replace the front splash apron than to make it straight again. HRP

Check out page 4 in the sticky. Jeff had mentioned that when people were doing 302 swaps, it was noticed that the radiators in 6 cyl cars had their radiators placed more forward than the V8 models did. The splash aprons need to be trimmed a little bit to gain some space. Easy fix.

Thank you, that's what I needed, I will need to stay with the 6 cylinder splash apron. HRP

Visual aid, the 1954 Ford inline 6 cylinder splash apron is the one on the left, the V8 is the next one, notice the difference in the notches where the radiator mounts. HRP

From the 1949 to 1959 Ford Parts Manual illustrations section. Notice the panels in the lower right this is what allows the radiator to be further forward.

You could try Owen’s salvage in Texas. I got a quick response and they were able to help me.

Don't forget those panels I posted about in that illustration, those go with the splash apron.

From the posts I have seen it looks like Owen's early 50s Ford parts are pretty much depleted. :(
