What's the Holy Grail of rare parts?

    What are people's ideas of the rarest and most difficult parts to find? The parts that you should know about so if you ever have a chance to snatch one up you can?

    An Edelbrock P600 3x2 intake for a '57 - '66 318 Poly. Hell, strike that - the Edelbrock valve covers for that same engine are rarer than that!

    So I'd have to go for the Edelbrock 318 Poly finned aluminum valve covers. Like gold, I tells ya - LIKE GOLD!!!!

    Geez Jason , the P600's arent that hard, between the old man and I we have 4 of em all for motors too and we live in Australia. and he does have a set of those edelbrock valve covers too! :) but you know that!

    The absolutely rarest of parts are probably almost worthless except for conversation pieces. they would be the one off stuff that early innovators brewed up in the garage. Rare and valuable aren't always the same.

    Of usable pieces, the above mentioned is a good place to start. Magnesium adjustable early Olds rockers are pretty hard to come by. Should'a kept mine I guess.

    I like em all...Latham supercharges, Turbonique units, Oberhausens, Scott injectors,meteor Injectors, Lincoln speed parts, and 8 duece setups but the rarest parts seem to be ones I need, can use, can afford, and actually work. I've always found great parts that I can't use, don't need, can't afford, or don't work.

    50 ford Crestliner steering wheels and horn ring,Picked one up and asked the guy what he wanted for it $1,300 and it was a turd.dropped it back on the table .But a nice one is sweet but no way near that
