Im sticking with something from my close family. 1967 Lincoln Continental OEM right side mirror. About two years ago I heard they were going for around $1500 if you could find one. Now might be a different story though. But I would say the holy grail of rare parts is the train car full of '32 fords that wound up in the bottom of a lake

  4. Everything on ebay. Just ask the seller. I'm sure they ain't as rare as most of the stuff in this thread but; I'll second those football shaped 58Fury Dual Quad breathers. I've been looking for a set of those for a couple of decades now. A set of long ram intake manifolds with complete factory linkage to go under them would probably be my personal "Holy Grail." Neeee!

man, i love my cyclone intake, but i have always regretted not buying the only gotha flathead intake i have ever seen. it wasnt even that expensive, but i didnt even have the money to buy an engine at the time, let alone the money to buy an intake like that

My holy grails right now are finned alluminum Mercury Tool and Die velocity stacks (pg 44 Hot rod the first 12 issues). I love them things. anyone got any (even one, even one i could borrow to have 3 cast up for my car?), (i just changed that, i keep calling them Almquist, im not sure if Almquist also made them, or if im really that senile, if you have Almquist ones, that are tall and finned, they would do also, if those exist)

A true holly grail would be along the lines of a miller 4 carb intake for a flatty (the one stu hilborn used to run, one ee2 and 3 single throughts, first run at the 35 indy).

does it have to be a car? A friend of mine has a 1944 Kenworth truck. One of three sold to the public that year.

I have seen several log rams an owned a set too. I have only seen one set of those exhaust manifolds besides the set pictured. Definitly cool stuff. What about the 64/65 426 max wedge cast iron whoopty doo headers? You guys sure have some awesome stuff shown on here. Ive been looking at it for three hours........help me, I can't stop!!!!!!!!

There are 2 or 3 complete cars in a field in Lubbock. Or there were four years ago.

Yea, not really a speed part I guess. I don't have too many rare speed parts, but I DO have:

    1. 235/261 Chevy Tattersfield, McGurk, and a few other no-name dual carb intake manifolds.

    2. Thomas magnesium adjustable rocker arms, NOS still in the box for a 235/261 Chevy.

    3. NOS "848" head for 235/261 Chevy.

    4. Fenton Headers for 235/261 Chevy.

    That's about it for me
