  5. They’re always the parts I need.

  6. Allard made them like that.

  7. Apparently 1960 Chevrolet El Camino trim. I'd rather look at all the holes in my car than spend that much money on used shiny shit

where/when were those frames used??never knew about them

  9. Prewar they used a 32 Ford frame as a basis for the Allard sports car. After the war, with no deuce frame to be had they made their own, without the reveal and a little more kick over the diff.

There’s enough different there that guys wouldn’t mistake that for a 32 frame.

I have a pair of stock Ardun exhaust manifolds for mine! Also have an original intake manifold modified with two stock single carb crossovers.

I am fairly certain that never made it past a few prototypes.

If you're an inline six racer, its a crossflow cylinder head.

I got to sit in this one before it went off to Germany. Originally a 1908 Mercedes that finished 4th in the first INDY 500. Larry Beals put the HISSO V8 in it.

  28. I was at Specialized Auto Parts in Houston,Texas in the late 60’s—early 70’s and as a young ambitious hot rodder interested in flathead fords put my eyes on a pair of Ardun 60h.p(smaller version for smaller engine) complete and assembled. Supposedly less than 10 pair produced. In the late 70’s I bought a rare set of finned aluminum flathead cylinder heads with the name Ascot Racing in bold letters. I doubled my money after owning the heads for only 15 minutes and is the only set I had ever seen. Flatheads Forever. I don’t have any pics of the Ascot Racing but do have some pics of other rare pieces. IMG_2200.jpeg IMG_0272.jpeg IMG_1943.jpeg IMG_1345.jpeg

@Flatheadjohn47 , were the pictured Federal-Mogul heads and the 4 carb manifold between them also yours? That manifold was one of 10 produced for the 1935 Harry Miller/ Ford Motor Co. Indianapolis 500 effort.

Here’s a restored car with the manifold
