  1. I had for a brief time last year, but had to sell it, a 57 Packard Wagon...thing was cool...wish I still had it but had some major bills pop up due to a medical emergency...sold it to a nice guy in Colorado and the transport company he hired to get it there effed up the tranny and did some body damage...felt really bad for the guy

Well in 1977 I had a 1938 REO speed delivery. looked kinda like a 38 chevy pickup, 350 with a t/400. I've never seen another one. Does that qualify as rare? Damn, wish I had it back!...TKO.

Probably my daily driver Fusion Orange Pontiac Aztek.
I did have a '71 Ford LTD convertable.

My dad on the other hand had a Late 70' Camaro z28, 302 4 spd car.
He also had a AAR cuda and a GTO Judge. Not all at the same time, but he sure wishes he had those back.

Does a one-off home built count?

I got this one about 70% done in high school.

Any car you didn't have to either sell, or give to her, in the divorce?

I had both a '35 and a '36 Chevy Suburban Carryall. Production under 200 for each.
Probably less than 15 total survivors total for both years together.
I also had a '36 Chevy Produce truck with the canvas sides.

The rarest and coolest car I ever owned is my 32 Ford Panel Delivery. There only about a dozen left out of about 1100 built in 1932. brew trk 1.jpg

Had a J2 Allard (331) back in the mid 60s when nobody knew or cared. Also owned the 12th Excalibur that Brooks Stevens ever built....when they were still on Stude frames but ran SBCs. Mine was automatic...and get this it was an FMX trans - used an adaptor made by Checker Cab company because the FMX was such a "toughie".

Great cars guys! here are mines:

The chevy is a 33 master eagle cabriolet, 3300 was built, not many left! Sold it recently.

The Ford is a 35 3w sold new in Sweden, was standing in the dealers werehouse waiting for its new owner when it was beeing picked out by the forddealers owner famous Swedish racecardriver Franklin Eck, his mission was to enter it in the rallye monte carlo only because the specially built ford racecar that was going in the first place was beeing stolen a couple of weeks before the race,
So my car was choosen instead, got repainted the same colourcombination as the racecar (green body, yellow fenders) and went to the rallye where it came in 7th total and first in its class. (1936)

Franklin Eck is not in this life anymore but his son Franklin Eck jr is still around and has told me alot about this car and his fathers racing during these early years.

The car will be restored to its former glory as a rallyecar, hopefully in time to its 75 year anniversary in MC 2011, plan is to drive it in the historic rallye.

Maybe not as rare as many others but enough for me :)

Sweet! I own a 86 T Type. There is a local guy with a Syclone, saw him beating up on a T/A at a stoplight once, awd launch is awesome!

  23. Rarest car i ever owned must be the 1950 Chevy Convertible i had 6-7 yers ago. There where only four 1950's ragtops in Sweden at that time. And a funny thing was that in the 8 level house i lived in at the time there was a dude on 1:st floor that had one of those ragtops and i lived at the 4:th floor! Pretty amazing how it can be sometimes? Really regret i sold that old Rag.

  24. I suppose it was my old 39 Graham...not a supercharged version tho.

  25. Here's my list.
My first car as a teen, 1955 Chevy Nomad, one of about 8,000. A rust bucket that was saved by the guy I sold it to.
I sold the Nomad to purchase my '31 Vicky rod. One of about 40,000, it is now considered rare, but here is my current driver.
I am on my second 1992 GMC Typhoon, one of about 2,000. I ran up the miles on the first one, and bought the current slightly used one in 2000. It now has just under 60k miles.

  26. 1970 Plymouth Satellite convertible. 318. Automatic. It was yellow. With a black top. Never mind.

Well, 1906 Stanley Ten Horsepower cars weren't all that rare, but this one with the surry top was pretty rare.

Have you heard the term "Blowing off steam?", well that's exactly what you did at the end of the day, emptying the boiler. When it cooled overnight it would siphon itself full again from the onboard water tank.

It got about on mile per gallon of water, and about 10 mpg on the fuel which was naptha.

It took about 25 minutes to steam up and get underway.
