  2. I kinda owned it. I shared it with my mom when I was in high school.
She came home one day in '65 with a '63 Pontiac Le Mans GT coupe. 326 with an AFB instead of the normal 2 bbl, 3 speed in the floor. As best we could tell, factory dual exhaust.
She bought it from one of the local Pontiac dealers, and although I didn't research the car at the time, it all looked Pontiac kosher to me and my muscle car expert buddies.
I kicked some serious ass with that sleeper in high school.....

I've got a cool find, about three years ago I stumbled onto an old bracket-raced 1970 Camaro on E-bay. Well, in the pictures I realize that this thing, although pretty ragged-out looking after sitting in a backyard for a few years, has a Ramchargers Dana 60 cast entirely out of magnesium, Hurst-Airheart four disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, parachute mount, is swiss-cheesed in lots of hidden places, etc. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this car has to be something special. I win the auction for $2326. I pick the car up and then discover that it's a real 1970 Z-28, 4-speed, Shadow Grey, factory radio delete and is extremely solid, although really hacked up. I spend a year trying to find any kind of history as an old Pro Stocker but came up empty and just sold the car for a nice profit. One of the most interesting things about it is that the rear suspension had a single upper right-hand-side link bar which was a feature that SRD Chassis in Pennsylvania used back then. A possible Grumpy Jenkins car? I don't know, but it's certainly possible!

1967 Buick GS340, Silver with the red Stripe package. Only 3000 made and 1500 in the silver/red combo. I pulled her out of a junkyard in 1999 wearing the original paint - my buddy has it now, sold it to him cheap when the town threatend to tow it as a "derelict car" (I had it parked outside uncovered for 5 years). It had only 53,000 miles on the clock.

1967 Chevelle SS396 POST COUPE. I have been told by every chevy expert this car never existed but I had a 1967 chevelle post coupe with a 138 vin code. Had every single SS option - all the trim, and a 402 out of a cheyanne pickup with a 1967 m20 4 speed and a 10 bolt rear. still had the original marina blue/ blue interior and I could not find any signs that it was an SS rebuilt on a post coupe body. never found the build sheet either. 1968 and up post coupes are well documented but I have never seen or heard about another 1967. The car went to the scrapper in 1994 when it was hit by a drunk driver and pushed forward 300 feet into a tree. Even the roof panel was bent after that.

That would have to be my 1980 Civic that received the U.S. Import Car of the Year 1980 award from Motor Trend Magazine and took first place in the crossing mileage test in the import car section of the United States Auto Club. There was about 200 billion made but now only a handful left in the world!! Sold it for $75

I found this car in a gas station parking lot in Silver Spring, Md when I was 17(?) or so. I was working at an Olds dealership, first year of the Toronado, 1966. Dark gray 55 chevy, I stopped to look in the car and realized it didn't have a back seat, it was a genuine business coupe. Convinced the guy to sell it to me for $250 which was about $150 more than 55's where going for at the time. These B coupes had no back seats and the rear quarter glass was permanently installed, no roll up or down. Also had a plywood platform where the back seat would have been with a rubber mat, I lifted the mat and found a GM parts sticker stapled to the plywood. Only option on this car was the Arvin heater, yea heaters where an "option" back then. Original bill of sale in the glove box, $2015.
Of course being young and dumb and full of ...... I cut it up and turned it into this.

I owned a 1979 Mercury Cougar Station Wagon, 4-door, with the fake wood side panels. I have never seen another Cougar wagon. It must have been a low number build in 1979.

Complete, but damaged, sat for 20 years before I got it, Jaguar XK-120 #670129.
    Aluminum bodied roadster.
I did get it running, then had to sell it to pay the hospital bill from a flash fire I survived.
Last I heard it was in England, should be fully restored by now.

Not as complete, but possible more rare, I had the chassis from a Cisitalia coupe.
Guy that bought it from me intended to recreate EVERYTHING else.
That was about 25 years ago or so, if he really had the money it should be done by now too.

How about a Devin bodied Bugeye Sprite?
Sure it was a kit car, but from I could find out it was built on a brand new Bugeye.
I found the original dated shipping label on some of the card board that had been glassed over to create an interior part.
I know who I traded it to, he does not have it now, and could not tell me where it went.
It may still be in the SF bay area?

How many 64 Galaxy convertibles had the 390 T-Bird engine option?

Seems my old hot-rod Simca Aronde Coupe' may have been rare too.

My current Marcos 1600 GT is somewhat rare, I have the only one in Nevada. ;-)

  26. 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham.
    It was # 7 of 498.
These are very rare and I found it sitting in a field in southern Maryland. This was back in 1973.
I wish I would have stashed it someplace.

I had a real deal '69 Z28 Camaro-it had 40K on it when I got (it was in pieces), but had every option except the cross ram-loved that Car, and could kill myself for selling it.

If I could include Motorcycles, I own the first Dyna Glide Harley ever sold-I bought it because it's a Sturgis model, and I always wanted one-I will keep it until I die-
