I had a Playboy pink 1967 Mustang Fastback. Luckily it had been repainted a different color. From the records I could find it was 1 of 6.

    Not a HAMB car but,
    I have an 88' BMW M5 # 126 of 1280 or so.
I've been restoring it for about two years. Looking forward to making some loot from it.

I presently own a '92 Olds 98 Touring Sedan with 95K miles and my wife drives it to work everyday. They only made around 2100 Touring Sedans in '92 and ours has the supercharger. Bonnevilles and Park Avenues got quite a few of the the superchargers but I've seen very few Olds 98's with them--only three others that I can remember. I suspect less than a third of the Touring Sedans got the S/C...

Honestly, I couldn't find a lot of information on it. I don't beleive it was POTY, as there were more than 1 produced. I had the car back in 99, when the net was a little smaller. After I posted that yesterday I did some searching trying to verify the number of PP Fastbacks made in 67 and didn't have any luck.

I had a 66 Buick Skylark GS Convertible. It had the big motor option(can you say nailhead). My brother ordered it before he went into the service, so my mother and I shared the car. According to one of those automobile encyclopedias, there were only about 2000 Skylark Convertibles made so I can only imagine the number GS convertibles built and optioned the way my brother ordered it!!!!

not sure how rare it is but, black on black 1963 Pontiac Tempest LeMans 326 3spd. Hauled ass but a bitch to get parts for. Matter of fact, I think it ended up in Northern Cal. I still have parts for that damn thing, along with all the original paperwork.

I've had a couple of rare ones, My 1st being a 1968 gto conv, w/a 4spd and other that the top, zero power options . That car was fun. Screwed up selling that one. don't even know where it.s at?

The other being my 34 Ford Woody Wagon-All original that to me embodies what a true surf punk would have driven in 57-64.

Last, would be my 1934 Hupp 3W Coupe W417, There isn't a whole lot of them out there and they are way more stylish than a 34 ford even though they share body tooling. It's not a hot rod but it's a cool styled car with a killer personality.

not as rare as some others, but a 1971 camaro ss 350, one of 8,377, and out of that number about 1200-1600 were 396 cars. had 36k original miles, and was complete numbers matching, i was the 3rd owner. http://tbillstoys.homestead.com/my1971camaroSS.html

also had a 1967 amc rambler rebel sst 880 convert., 290/auto with fold down split bench seat. not sure of how rare, but haven't seen one since, looked a lot like a 69 plymouth sattelite [sp?]

68 AMX 390 auto w/posi. Wished I'd never sold it. The body work was finished but it still needed paint and the interior put back in when a tornado hit my place in '85. It tore the hood off. Also some thieveing bastards stole the interior right after the tornado along with my well pump. all my tools, washer and dryer and alot of other stuff so I had to sell it and a 68 Javelin 290 4spd car to recoop. The home and auto insurance were giving me a hard time over everything.

  24. The one I kept: a 1956 Pontiac sedan delivery, One of 1583 made.
The one that I let go: a 1972 two wheel drive Blazer. 350 3speed 4:11 posi. With the top off the damn thing would just about lift the front wheels off the ground.
The one I had a chance at and didn't: a 57 Pontiac business coupe - no back seat. 261 Powerglide.

Austin A90 Atlantic convertible, 1951 model from memory. Ugly as sin, powered by the big Healy 3000 4 banger. Interesting read here on the history of the car.

    http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/277/

Fewer than 8000 built over several years, all sort of electric goodies that failed regularly including the top, windows, overdrive gearbox etc. I could not find an auto electriciian that would touch it!

Bought it for $60 in 1967, parted it out after it got rear ended and the bloke's insurance paid me the $60 back, and made about $100 selling the engine, carbies etc.

Bloody things are worth a fortune these days!

    Cheers, Glen.

so cool, now if it was one of the ones breathed on by Mnsr. Gordini that would be quite the find.

    and 1 off 2 fridolins i denmark

  30. I had a '64 Chrysler 300K, factory black on black with a 4 SPEED!!! No known numbers produced but they made only 3000 K's. So say 5% were sticks, my car was one of 150 and probably one of maybe 20 or so black on black cars and a 4 speed instead of a 3 speed.

Next I had a '47 Chevy Woody Wagon. Not too many left.

My '64 Lincoln Convertible was the 6th car ordered from the factory in 1964. It had a 1963 430 V8 in it and everything was date coded before the official start of production for 1964 making it pretty much a '64 with '63 mechanicals. It was possibly the first convertible off the assembly line in 1964. They made only about 3300 converts in '64. It also did not have A/C making it one of only 5% of convertibles that didn't have A/C I was told.

I have a '67 Q Code Galaxie 500 convertible. One of 175 bench seat converts with the 428 and one of about 143 with automatic.

I drive a 2 dr hardtop '57 Lincoln Premiere almost daily. Fairly rare.

Probably a few other rare cars, but that is all I can remember for now.
